Teaser - GF: Walking for access to clean water
At GF, we can play an important role in ending the global water crisis. At least two billion people lack access to safe water daily, the WHO says. Millions of women and children walk for more than two kilometers every day to collect water.
The GF Walk for Water charity events are symbolic of their efforts. To raise funds, participants pledge to walk two kilometers carrying a bucket of water. Our 2023 goal is to raise more donations than in our most recent event in 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).
We donated the CHF 500’000 raised in that event to our partner, Water Mission, which then implemented seven projects, providing long-term access to safe water for more than 25’000 people in four countries.
