For the very first time, GF was recognized as a Sustainability Yearbook Member for its good rating performance in 2022 in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, achieving 63 out of 100 points in the industry Machinery and Electrical Equipment. To be listed in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook, companies must score within the top 15% of their industry and must achieve an S&P Global Sustainability Score within 30% of their industry’s top-performing company. Governance, economic, environmental and social criteria were assessed with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value. For each sector, S&P Global drew up a catalog of approximately 100 questions to be answered by the companies.
"This is a great recognition of all the work the company is putting into achieving our 2025 Sustainability Framework. We have ambitious targets and a roadmap in place to keep improving in all aspects of sustainability", says Lindsay Zingg, Head of Corporate Sustainability at GF.
Only 708 companies qualified for the yearbook out of over 7'800 in 61 industries that were assessed. The recognition is another testament to GF's ambition to become a leader in sustainability and innovation.
