Construction of Hotel Paradies

This page provides you with relevant updates and information about the planning and construction phase over the next few months.

Klostergut Paradies has been owned by GF since 1918. The former convent has been open to GF employees from across the world as a training and education center since 1974. Every year, around 5,000 employees and guests use the infrastructure of this listed historical site, which for many has become an oasis that binds them to the roots of GF.

At the same time, the historical buildings, including the restaurant located directly on the Rhine, are a popular destination for hiking, boating ("Weidling"), cycling, walking, and for nature lovers.

As it should remain this way in the future, GF is investing approximately CHF 10 million in the construction and renovation of the Klostergut Paradies. The project includes the construction of a new hotel and the environmental-friendly renovation of the restaurant "Paradies". The construction work will take around 18 months and is expected to be completed by December 2025. The official opening for the hotel and the restaurant is planned for spring 2026.
