21/04/2021 - 18:30 (Central European Time)

Today’s 125th Annual Shareholders’ Meeting of Georg Fischer AG approved all proposals of the Board of Directors. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the corresponding ordinance of the Swiss Federal Council, the meeting took place without the personal attendance of shareholders.

The shareholders of Georg Fischer AG were obliged to delegate their votes in advance to the independent proxy. The latter represented 2'275'727 votes, which corresponds to 74.8% of voting shares entered in the share register.

The Annual Shareholders’ Meeting approved all agenda items by a large majority and confirmed Yves Serra as Chairman of the Board of Directors. It also elected the members of the Compensation Committee. The constitution of the Audit Committee and of the Nomination and Sustainability Committee was determined by the Board of Directors (see separate document).

After serving on the Board for 16 years, Zhiqiang Zhang stepped down and did not stand for re-election at the Meeting. Zhiqiang Zhang was first elected to the Board of Directors of Georg Fischer AG in 2005. The Board thanked Zhiqiang Zhang for his excellent work and outstanding commitment to GF and wished him all the best for the future.
