Changes to the GF Board of Directors
GF today announces that Monica de Virgiliis will be proposed as Board member at the GF Annual Shareholder's Meeting (ASM) on 19 April 2023. Jasmin Staiblin will leave the Board when her current term ends due to GF's 12-year limit on Board tenure. Riet Cadonau has decided for personal reasons not to stand for re-election at the 2023 ASM.
Monica de Virgiliis (1967), a dual Italian-French citizen, graduated with honors in Electronics Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy). She is currently serving as Chair of the Board for SNAM, a leading European operator in gas infrastructure and energy services and also a member of the Board of ASM International (the Netherlands). She earlier held senior leadership positions at STMicroelectronics and Infineon.
"We are delighted to propose the election of this highly experienced senior executive, with a deep knowledge of two key markets of GF, namely the energy and semiconductor fields," comments Yves Serra, Chairman of the GF Board of Directors. "She is the ideal candidate to complement our Board."
Yves Serra further states: "We warmly thank Jasmin Staiblin for her twelve years of dedication and excellent service at GF. We are equally grateful for Riet Cadonau's strong engagement and commitment over the last seven years. We wish Jasmin and Riet all the very best for their future endeavors."
