Recognized for the fourth consecutive year, GF solidifies its position as one of Europe's Climate Leaders by the Financial Times, one of the world’s leading business newspapers. This recognition underlines GF’s focus on environmental sustainability and rewards the company’s progress in addressing climate change.
Europe’s Climate Leaders 2024 marks the fourth publication of this annual series, jointly compiled by the Financial Times and Statista, a provider of market and consumer data. This edition features 600 businesses headquartered in Europe that have demonstrated the most substantial reduction in their Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity over a five-year period (2017-22), as well as their collaboration with NGOs and establishment of further emission reduction targets.
GF’s improved overall score of 71.8% (compared to 70.8% in 2023) results from a higher reduction of GHG emissions in GF's own operations and the highest possible “A” score awarded by the global rating agency CDP for GF’s transparency and performance on climate change.
